Brainstorming Brand Names

A strong brand name is crucial for my project as I want to not only get across the brand values but I also want to convey its purpose, build trust with the users and relate to children, their parents and carers and healthcare professionals. When brainstorming names, I kept the values of emotional security, reassurance and being child centric at the forefront of my ideas.

Some of my brainstormed ideas:

Making A Shortlist

Assure

To tell someone confidently that something is true especially so they do not worry

• Conveys Emotional Security and reassurance which are core values of the brand
• Aligns well with the app’s mission to reduce fear and worry while guiding children through the hospital journey

Paedia

Typically refers to the Greek concept of upbringing and education

• Immediate Connection to Paediatrics (Rooted in paediatrics)
• The name clearly signals that the app is hospital related but also child focused

Compass

To accomplish (something)

• Child friendly as it feels warm and imaginative while remaining relevant to the hospital context
• Symbolises guidance & navigation therefore giving children and parents reassurance that they won’t get lost or feel uncertain during appointments
