Brand values are important as they form the foundation for building an emotional connection between a brand and its users and helps enhance the overall user experience. Core brand values represent the beliefs and principles a company or a product stand for as well as offering customers insight into what the brand represents and how it aligns with their needs. While functional and emotional benefits can be intentionally designed, self-expressive benefits emerge over time as a result of positive experiences, consistency and growing brand reputation.
To define my brand values, I used both desk research and analysis of survey responses to better understand what children and their parents need and value during a hospital experience. In addition, I reviewed the values and approaches of existing competitor apps to further inform and refine my brand direction. These insight helped shape an initial set of core values for the brand. Reassurance
Child-Centric
Guidance
Emotional Security
Imagination
