I used the 5Rights Foundation Playful by Design card tool to help with my design thinking when ideating what features I want to prioritise for my app. The cards were particularly useful because they prompted me with “Why,” “What if” and “How” questions, helping me focus on my target users’ needs and explore features that could address them.

Using these prompts, I was able to first diverge and generate a wide range of ideas, then converge by refining and structuring them into more feasible feature ideas. This really helped me to define which features matched my brand values and app goal the best and define my “north star features”.
