She says she doesn’t find the hospital particularly scary but often feels confused and unsure about what is happening and why she has to wait so long between appointments. She mentioned that the waiting times feel very boring especially when she doesn’t know how much longer she has left.

She feels that an app with clear updates about what’s happening next would really improve her experience as it would both keep her entertained and help her understand the process and timing of her visit.

We began by having a relaxed conversation about her experiences at the hospital, focusing on what she enjoys and what she finds frustrating. I then showed her several high-fidelity design screens and talked her through how they would work, asking for her thoughts on the visuals and whether the features felt easy and fun for her to use.
