IDEO which stands for Interaction Design Studio is one of the studios I had previously known of before the trip. In the last 40 years their company has evolved in many different area with the main being the following 5 categories:

It is very clear they are future focused and keeping their spot at the top of the industry working on the next upcoming designs and ideas which will shape the future of the industry. They touched on how they work through thie projects from sourcing a range of multi-disciplinary designers to how they create a story throughout the inspiration, ideation and execution of their work.

An element of this visit I really enjoyed is being able to take part in a SASU exercise, something which the team at IDEO do together weekly to build their teamwork skills and also as a bit of fun. We completed an exercise which needed 4 different people to draw a person with one drawing the head, one on the body, one on the legs and the last doing the feet. However the catch was that you couldn't see what the other people had drew and ended up with some very funny looking people. It is clear why IDEO use this exercise as it caused a lot of laughs within our group.

IDEO is definitely not a place you would be able to walk into as a graduate but it is a great place I strive to perhaps be able to work at later in my career.
