I started off defining the problem I want to solve, this really helps me to be able to address the problem at hand and how the user feels before a the problem is solved
I then wrote two user personas on two different users who would benefit from my pitch idea. Sophia is younger and is looking for a ski friend who is the same ability as her but also has the same interests as her off the slopes. Arthur is a complete beginner who wants to learn a new ski and find a new confidence in himself but wants a friend to take on this new experience with him.
I used a sitemap to outline the different pages I would be including and the different potential features on offer:
After speaking to Daniel about my pitch in class, we discussed the idea of slightly changing it from a dating style app to more into entering a specific location or chalet where you want to book, picking a date and then seeing what groups you can join and see who is there, their ski skill, their age and their preferences.
This slight change will change the user flow slightly so the user would log in or sign up, choose their chosen destination, choose the dates they want to go and then they will receive all the available group or individual accommodation you can join.
These new sketches focus more closely on the booking experience of finding the right accommodation for you, meeting people and then being able to access your details.
