Jakob Nielson

“The King of Usability” Jakob Nielson is known to be the worlds leading expert when it comes to website usability and design. He has written many books, the first being “Coordinating User Interfaces for Consistency” in 1989 and most recent being “Mobile Usability” in 2012. He is also principle of Nielsen Norman Group, a world leading company in Research-Based User Experience which he founded alongside Donald Norman.

John Hicks

Based in Oxfordshire, John Hicks works in a creative partnership with Leigh Hicks at Hicks Design. Known for their wide range of digital skills, working on projects such as logo work for Firefox, Mail Chimp and Shopify as well as product design, branding & identity, illustration and iconography. They also like to produce work with other mediums such as ink and clay. Other clients they currently work with include Spotify, Dyson and Skype.

Tim Brown

Designer Tim Brown is the Co-CEO of the company IDEO, joining the company in 1987. His first ever product he created was a table saw and one of them is still in use today at the Central St. Martins Design School in London. He has done numerous TED talks about Change By Design and likes to speak about creative leadership, innovation to worldwide designers and design thinking. His work has been exhibited worldwide such as Tokyo, London and New York. He has a special interest in typography, practicing it for the last 20 years and sharing his interest as the head of typography at Adobe where he he helps partners find and organise fonts and use them in their applications and work.

Una Kravets

Brooklyn designer Una Kravets currently works as a developer advocate, styling Google Chromes webpages. She also previously worked as a product designer at Bustle Group and a UI Engineer at IBM Design. She also works on many other things including the web development podcasts ToolsDay and CSS Podcast. She is also amazing at technical illustrations, doing letter brushing and calligraphy under the name Dev Doodles. I really like the work of Una and listen to the CSS Podcast and I really enjoy it.
