This week we looked at portfolios and planned out what we should be including the create a good portfolio. We started off completing an exercise in class which allowed us to write down what we thought the 3 most important things were to make a good portfolio before we worked through everyone ideas and decided what the three most important things were.
My group all had very similar ideas of what would make our portfolios good, so it was a lot easier to sort through the ideas and decide what would make a portfolio good. Our order of importance was as follow:
As a class we then discussed what the biggest importance in a portfolio is and realised that we had missed important details such as adding contact information so that employers can contact you. Daniel also explained how as good as it is to show personality through your portfolio, your personality comes most into play when you have an interview after you have demonstrated your experience through your CV and work ethic and skills through the portfolio. We also discussed how your portfolio presentation isn't really important, it is more important to have good case studies for your work and a solid navigation so employers can access them.
