As part of my initial research, a group of my fellow students and I went to numerous banks in Belfast City Centre to observe. After I came back to the studio and looked at how customers rated these banks online via trustpilot.com and presented by finding using spider diagrams.
I then presented this combined information in a number of little pocket profiles to make it clearer for future use:
I started to then look at the websites of these banks and what impression they give users from a first glance.

The landing page of Santander is very simplistic and tidy but still displays quite a bit of information in a 3 column layout and a consistent colour scheme of red and white
