A dissertation is an extended piece of writing based on comprehensive research with the aim to contribute new knowledge or insights to your field of study.
It is broken up into the following components:
A research proposal is a formal document that outlines a planned research project and tells people what you will be writing about. It outlines what the research aims to accomplish, why it is important to that field of study and how the researcher plans to carry it out.
In Week 4, we will present a 5 minute pitch on our dissertation idea to Kyle, Daniel & Paul. It will follow the same structure as a research proposal but will be in the form of a powerpoint/ keynote presentation. We will also need to submit a critical bibliography separately.
